Sicko

My great workout streak has been broken this week, compliments of a nasty throat virus and my kids. You guessed it ~ mom and dad now have the bug.

I missed my short run last night and will try again tonight and see if I can at least squeak out a couple miles. I was really trying to keep the mileage streak alive ~ even at a low level ~ but it just may have to wait for next month.

This week I'll settle for one short run and a good 8 miles again on Saturday.

AH-CHOOOOOO!!!!!

No fun at all. It sounds a lot like what my wife had last week. Fortunately, the kids and I dodged it.

Get better soon!

you gotta get better for saturday. I have a little back ache, but should be good by then.

Rest up and take it easy... no sense pushing it and making it worse. (Says one who pushes it and makes it worse on a regular basis.)

Pokey if you're sick you need to take it easy. No running and pushing the mileage with a virus...stay in bed and wait until you're stronger.

I do hope you get better soon.

Hey, Pokey! Thanks for the comment on my blog - it's so great to see new readers.

I'm back on my feet again and running. I'll be running my first 5K this coming Sunday. Not really nervous, just excited.

Thanks for the shout-out. Sorry to hear you are sick. I'll be back often to get some much needed running advice!

Ugh. Went through that a few weeks ago. Nothing like a runny nose and sore throat to dampen plans.

Well if both of you are home and the kids are at school, well be careful that is how so many boo boo's happen. :) I hope that you are feeling better soon and back on the road running.

Can't run because of a little cold? C'mon, don't be such a whimp!

Sorry about that. Last week was my sicko week. Have a little chicken soup and a nap. I know, good luck you have kids to take care of.

Awww my surf sistah! I hope you get better soon. I hate this time of year cold/flu season eeeek!

Loved the pic of the kiddo on the football field.
My son gets my athelitic talent to which would explain why he is the last one at running drills during practice, but he never quits :-)
